
Liz earned her undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University and her Master's Plus 30 from the University of South Carolina, specializing in Auditory Verbal Therapy. Following graduate school, she completed an internship through Johns Hopkins, further strengthening her clinical foundation.
As a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with more than 20 years of experience, Liz has worked with children and adults across a wide range of settings, including hospitals, medically fragile clinics, schools, early intervention programs, outpatient clinics, and home-based services. Her diverse background allows her to provide individualized care that meets each child and family where they are.
She also served on the first team implementing the Coaching Model in Augusta, Georgia, and currently contributes to the product development team at Talk Tools.
Liz specializes in oral motor and muscle-based therapy and was mentored for more than a decade by Sara Rosenfeld-Johnson, founder of Oral Placement Therapy through Talk Tools. She has completed extensive training in:

• Oral Motor Therapy
• Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT)
• PROMPT
• Apraxia
• Sensory Integration
• TOTs
• Beckman Oral Motor
• Other specialized treatment approaches
She is an active member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Throughout her career, Liz has worked with children and adults diagnosed with:
• Cerebral Palsy
• Down Syndrome
• Childhood Apraxia of Speech
• Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Feeding disorders
• Articulation disorders
• Developmental delays
• Variety of genetic conditions
Her goal is always to help individuals develop the communication and feeding skills necessary to achieve greater independence, confidence, and quality of life.
Beyond her clinical practice, Liz is deeply committed to advocacy and leadership. She serves as First Vice Chair of the South Carolina Developmental Disabilities Council and previously served on the Advisory Council for Education of Students with Disabilities. Through these roles, she works alongside families, educators, healthcare professionals, and policymakers to improve opportunities and outcomes for individuals with disabilities throughout South Carolina.
